Shopping Post : The Misfortune of the Colour Yellow

The colour yellow has received a lot of injustice over the years.
Lots of people shun it in general for no apparent reason. Lots of other people shy away from it’s lovely, bright aura citing the it’s too bright for me mantra.
To make it worse, it was adopted as the colour of choice by a bird thereby giving rise to the expression ‘I look like a canary‘ and to really make all this injustice even worse, if that is even possible, a particular canary with a grin and a little, spiky tuft of hair is one of the most popular cartoon characters alive today, yes I’m aware I’ve used the word alive, what you mean to tell me Tweety is dead? Next, you’ll be telling me that Father Christmas isn’t real….
Since I was put upon this earth to correct injustices and fight for equal opportunities, today I’m going to fight the corner yellow. I am going to convince you that the one thing that is really missing from your wardrobe and causing a great big gaping hole is a yellow duffle coat with toggle buttons, this particular one from Hilifger Denim, I swear if you get this coat your life will be complete…don’t believe me? Would I lie to you? Remember..I know Tweety…’nough said…

Because I like to mix things up, I’ve styled this coat with a burgundy, floral, patterned shirt and skinny jeans. A rose gold watch and a nice handbag is of course, obligatory and then a stylish looking pair of wellies to complete it..because we live in a country which has an extremely low amount of rainfall but yet floods…very, very often…
Although I’ve decided to adopt a playful tone in this post, I am actually really quite infatuated with this coat and I do particularly love the colour yellow; I feel it is one of those colours that can really put a smile on your face when you wear it and probably get a few other people to smile too!
For those who live in another dimension (possibly one where the colour yellow is actually as popular as black), in Malta there are Tommy Hilfiger Stores in Baystreet and Valletta and Hilfiger Denim Stores at The Point and in Valletta (in Valletta same store as Tommy Hilfiger – basement level).

Because they keep up with the times and all that, they have a facebook page right here.
