I’ve had a great night and I’m still buzzing so I’m writing this up only a few hours later. I attended a great number of shows and events today but one of the highlights was spending time backstage at Moschino with MAC cosmetics and watching the show after. I even got to see Gigi and Bella Hadid up close, Anna Cleveland and even managed to ask Bella a few questions.
One of the main themes of the show was Paper Dolls and they even carried cardboard accessories just like real paper dolls. I remember playing with paper dolls as a kid. Pills were also a main recurring element with pill-studded handbags appearing on the catwalk and pill patterned clothes and umbrellas. The Moschino teddybears also made an appearance as did some beautiful Marilyn Monroe-esque type gowns
The makeup designed by key makeup artist Tom Pecheux was a very 90s-influenced super model look with a smokey eye, a slightly winged eyeliner, heavy brows and false eyelashes. The models wore wigs with short bobbed hair.
