Beauty Faves of 2016

2016 was really the year of some great beauty finds. A few items that I was previously unaware of have become absolute staples in my beauty lineup. I thought it would be just a couple of items but as I stopped and thought about it, the list seemed to go on and on and on. I didn’t end up putting any makeup on this list – might have to make a separate list for that !
So here’s what made my top list
The DAFNI brush
This brush is a miracle as far as I’m concerned. The speed at which I can obtain decent – looking hair still continues to impress me. And forget day-after bad hair with this baby, it will fix it in a few seconds. It isn’t cheap it’s true but it really is pretty good. You can read my review and watch the video here.
The Makeup Blending Sponge
First we had sponges, then we had brushes and now we have sponges once again. However, the blending brush is not exactly a normal sponge. The material of this sponge means it doesn’t soak up too much foundation (when used damp), doesn’t streak and does a truly wonderful job of giving you a flawless complexion. The one I’ve used is by Real Techniques and I bought it from look fantastic
Micellar Water
I can’t believe I lived a life without knowing about micellar water. It removes absolutely all traces of makeup without any hardships. It does not dry out the skin and it doubles up as the best fabric stain remover I have ever tried. I’ve tried different brands but the best, best I’ve found is the one by Bioderma.

Ericsson Laboratoire Eye Cream
This eye mask which doubles up as a cream does wonders to my dark circles which have this nasty habit of making frequent appearances
LABELM Hair Oil
I discovered this oil last September and it has really improved the condition of my dry hair. I love that it doesn’t seem to make hair feel sticky or overly oily. Really really good product
Tangle Teezers
These brushes have allowed me to brush my hair once again, with curly hair it’s really difficult to brush your hair without crying, so many times I used to just give up. With these brushes, it’s so effortless, I’ve even started travelling with them. More info here
SPLAT
This toothpaste brand continue to make me smile, both for their wonderful packaging and for the fact that they’re flouride free and have a bunch of different editions and flavours to choose from. Currently loving the black carbon one. My review here
