Clarins Makeup Haul

Melita Beauty & Pharmacy

Ironically I have never been that familiar with Clarins makeup but last week I got a mega introduction. I was shooting a campaign for a brand and the makeup artist used Clarins, I loved the result but I also fell in love with ultra beautiful packaging and quality of the products. One day later, and Melita Health & Beauty in St Julians call to let me know they’re running a Clarins promotion next week and that they’d like me to trial some products. So first of all the promotion starts today Monday 3rd April and runs until Saturday.
For the duration of the promotion they are offering:

  • Gifts with Purchases over 80 EuroGifts with purchases on make-up,
  • 20% off on all Clarins (Skincare, Make-up. Mens’ and Suncare)
  • Gifts with purchases on make-up, 20% off on all Clarins (Skincare, Make-up. Mens’ and Suncare)

  • Clarins make-up artists in attendance on Saturday for free make-overs

Hyrda-Essential Gel

A really beautiful moisturiser, I could feel my skin just drinking this in with ultimate pleasure. In general, I tend to get dehydrated quite quickly, I tried this when I had a bit of a hangover so my skin was extra dehydrated and loved, loved, loved the result.

Pore-Perfecting Mattifying Foundation

Great matte foundation that provides a medium coverage without looking caked. It is easy to blend into the skin and does not leave any tell tale signs. It is a tiny bit drying so good to wear with a good moisturiser underneath.

Pore-Perfecting Mattifying Powder with Blotting Paper

I fell head over heels in love with the packaging of this product – so so cute. The powder is great at controlling any shiny areas and lovely to take out with you and keep in your handbag for re-application. This will be really handy for the approaching summer, my face seems permanently shiny in summer.

4-colour Rosewood Palette

This 4 colour palette has a gorgeous range of colours.  The formula is a wet/dry formulation that’s supposed to be long-wearing. The first shade is a sort of silvery pink that looks really great even worn alone. When used wet the finish is more metallic. The second colour is my personal favourite, a lovely rosy brown and it has lovely warm undertones which I felt complemented my skin tone perfectly. The third shade is a deep plum that I used in the corner of my eyes and in the crease, I love plum shadows and this has great pigment that can be built up. The fourth shade is a darker, silver/ taupe with hints of plum and metallic that looks great worn on top of the other colours as a sort of blended finisher.

Comfort Lip Oil

This is the product I’m thrilled with most, simply because I’ve never had anything like it, it’s a cross between an oil and a gloss but so moisturising and long lasting. I have chronically dry lips and all the lip products on earth don’t seem to help so this layered over lipstick is actually one of the best combinations I’ve ever tried.

Head to Melita Health & Beauty in St Julians this week for all the Clarins Goodness
