Outfits from Milan Fashion Week

Deciding what to wear to fashion week is quite stressful, first of all, it happens at the tail end of one season, meaning all the stores are on sale and starting to stock the next season and you never quite know what the weather will be like. This year Milan was colder than previous years, really really freezing.

This year I decided to work with collaborate with one main store for Milan and therefore practically all of the clothes I wore throughout Milan Fashion Week all came from the fantastic multi-store Mexx at BayStreet. The brands they import are all great and of really high quality – Essentiel – an uber edgy Belgian brand, French Connection (always loved this) but one of my absolute favourites is Twinset by Simona Barbieri and this is the brand I chose for Milan Fashion Week.

This post is mainly about clothes and shoes, I” be delving into makeup and accessories in the next one

Outfit 1

So the first outfit is the most daring, a light, pretty floral dress worn with bold purple boots. I feel that this is the perfect dress for a spring party or ocassion. If you’re wondering how I wore this in Milan when it was so cold..well there was an addition of a woollen cape at a later stage.

Outfit 2

The next outfit is whiter than white – I love the idea of total white in Winter and I love white lace for spring/summer. I added a white fur jacket for the rest of the day 🙂

Outfit 3

Animal prints are currently a major trend currently and will be next winter too. This top and cardi combo is rather striking and quite warm too, I added a turtleneck underneath it since it was evening.

Outfit 4

I know a lot of people find the animal print trend too much too handle though so this jacket is great because it only has a touch and it also incorporates to rock chic trend very nicely. I’m also in love with these shimmery trousers that look amazing when you’re walking around.

This was probably my favourite of the lot, I felt really stylish and up to Milanese high fashion week standards, lots of photographers wanted to shoot it too.

Hat : River Island

Shoes : Stivaletti
