For the Love of Jumpsuits

My love affair with jumpsuits is actually a very recent one. I’ve always been an only-dress-wearing kind of girl. Pedro del Hierro is actually the brand responsible for starting this relationship so it is quite fitting that I’m wearing a jumpsuit from this brand in this ode to jumpsuits story.

I used to think that because I have wide hips, the shape would make me look bigger but it’s really about the fit. The main styles I found are the following

  • A style that is tight on top and flowy in the leg lower part
  • A style that is flowy on top and fitted at the bottom.

Either of these two styles helps balance out my wider hips either by making them look narrower or by making my upper body look larger. Either way, an important factor is for the waist to be enhanced and cinched in. The jumpsuit in this picture also has vertical stripes which make my body look longer.

I’m also wearing my current favourite TOM Ford shades and a new pair of shoes from the brand US Polo sold at Stivaletti – they’re really comfy!
