Last one to close off #maltafashionweek2025 / ad with a few thoughts and reflections.

I may be biased with my role in the team and all but I feel proud & happy with how things transpired and that we put a good event forward. Are there things I’d change or do differently? of course but hindsight is always great and of course, there are plenty of budget and time constraints that we all wish we didn’t have to work around.

There is one reflection that I do take away though and that is that whilst amongst certain people the level of appreciation for our local designers is growing, I fear that it might not be enough, especially when it comes to new emerging designers. We need more interest, we need more support, we need people with knowledge to discuss and give feedback - good or bad directly to the designers and artists involved - this is the only way people and industries grow.
