Styling Work : Filtered Reality – Editorial

The title of this fashion editorial is Filtered Reality and the story is based upon the concept of a filtered picture of Winter. Today’s world has become a bit detached from reality, our view of the world is a beautifully curated list of filtered images presented on Instagram. This fashion editorial plays on that concept through the use of smoke, coloured lighting and a slightly futuristic twist.

I generally like to take things a bit slower during the month of December but this year, quite the opposite happened – it ended up being a super busy month with barely any time to prepare for Christmas. The great news is that I worked on a few interesting, new, styling / art direction projects, one of which was this fashion editorial for the December edition of Maltese magazine Sunday Circle.

As regards the fashion theme, our story tries to incorporate fur and faux fur elements to build upon the idea of a cocooned world. Jewellery and glitzy detailing adds further style and a nod to the party season.
