Unfortunately sometimes, life simply gets too busy and I find myself barely having time to breathe let alone managing to find time to catch up with everyone I wish to. Last week, I finally managed to find time to go out to dinner at the Villa with one of my best friends. We caught up over cocktails, stupendous views and yummy food.
As mentioned in my previous trip posts, the Entertainer and I have teamed up – I get to try out activities using their 2-4-1 system. I started with a trip to a Fish Spa, had a personal training session on the beach, dined at Chapter One and now it’s time for The Villa. P.S. If you haven’t been to the Villa yet, go now before the summer ends. I had been before but never for dinner during the summer months, it’s a completely different experience. The view is unbelievable at night, the atmosphere quite magical. The place in itself is already a beautiful old, prestigious building, but the pink lighting and the church lit up in the background makes it that little bit more special.
We started our night with cocktails – a cosmopolitan and a sex on the beach – just in case we needed help to you know start chatting. Between our incessant chatting and having fun snapping photos, we had some difficulty deciding on whether or not to get starters or a selection of tapas but I really wanted their linguini allo scoglio so Sharon settled on the soft shell crab and octopus carpaccio. I ate mine and sampled hers and both were excellent.
Further on were unanimous in our choices – cosmopolitan cocktails, meagre cooked al sale (my absolute favourite method for cooking fish), and chocolate brownie heaven for dinner. Don’t miss the brownie. I declare The Villa as the perfect girls night out dinner date location.
