Spring/Summer 2011: Get out your knitting tools…it’s crochet time !!

When we hear crochet, we automatically think tablecloths and little cute dollies found in our grannies houses. We’ve trawled past Maltese and Gozitan souvenir shops seeing crochet items piled up all around the shops and barely giving them a second glance.

However, all of a sudden, it’s not just souvenir shops that are selling crochet, crochet has appeared on the catwalk, featuring some truly beautiful pieces.

Girls this is crochet with a difference…think stylish, bright and elegant.

To truly make a statement get a long maxi crochet dress preferably in a bright colour. For the truly brave, wear it with a leotard underneath, for those of us with a little less courage wear it with a little plain dress underneath.

Although, it can always be dressed up to still look chic, this is one of the more Bohemian and low key trends of the season.
