So in Runway Malta Part 1, I recapped the launch party and gave some detail on the designers lined up for the catwalk event. As promised, here is more detail on the actual catwalk shows.
http://www.hasanhejazi.co.uk/ – British designer Hasan Hejazi ended the fashion event with a wonderful display of both his Spring/Summer 2011 and Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 collections. The catwalk show itself was not exactly the norm with the models stopping halfway down and turning to face the audience sitting alongside the catwalk – I liked 🙂
The clothes were all so beautiful. In both collections there was a good mix of long and short dresses, some dressier than others along with some more tailored jackets and leotards. Sheer material was a predominant feature of both collections.
Here are some pics of the models wearing the Spring/Summer clothes:
The Pink- Hasan is a man to my taste, he seems to adore the colour pink, bright colours were a key trend this season therefore the use of bright pink is right on trend, as was the use of structured militaryish accents that can also be seen in the following clothes.
I have really have enjoyed seeing leotards revisited over the last year, maybe it’s because I spent years in a ballet classroom but there’s something about wearing a leotard that makes me want to dance. Also, check out the sequins in the ensemble below.
I really adore the dress in the picture below, so glamorous, wearing it will make you feel like a million dollars, at the same time not so bombastic that the right occasion is hard to find – stunning !! Here is the link to it on his website Pink Dress
Blue has been popular all summer and is going to remain popular throughout the upcoming winter months. I love the ‘dress’ below, it’s not exactly a dress, it starts off as a leotard that seems to have a long sheer skirt attached, the cinched in belt is lovely for diminishing the size of your waist too and making you appear thinner. To be avoided however, by those with less than perfect legs !!
The style of the dress in the second picture is a very flattering style especially for those with nice legs, the belt makes the waist look thinner, the skirt is not figure hugging therefore able to hide some sins and the 3/4 sleeves are great at hiding wobbly arms, can also be worn in winter with a dark pair of tights.
Watch this space for catwalk pics from the Autumn/Winter collection, coming soon 🙂
