In my previous articles I explained how to identify what body shape you are at Learn Your Body Shape and I also showed you some examples of celebrity pears dressing correctly for their shape – now it is the turn of the APPLE.
Generally, an apple shaped body has the following traits:

Large Bust.

Narrow Hips
-
Less Defined Waist
-
Broad Shoulders
Some apple-shaped celebrities are Drew Barrymore, Oprah, Angelina Jolie (a very skinny apple), Lena Dunham, Catherine Zeta Jones, Jennifer Hudson. Let’s review two of them:
In the leftmost outfit Drew uses clever layering techniques to hide any midsection fat and minimise her large bust. In the rightmost outfit, Drew knows her legs are her best asset and chooses a short dress that shows off her legs, she also adds a belt which helps give more definition to her waist area. The outfit in the middle is the worst of the three, her bust looks too large in that dress which seems overly stretched across the bust area, her stomach also seems to be bulging slightly ,a loose dress would work much better.
Lena Dunham
Lena is what we call an ectomorph which is someone who fits into more than one body type, she a mixture of pears and apples basically.
It is quite obvious as to how much better Lena looks in the outfits on the left and right rather than the one in the middle…..the yellow dress accentuates all the wrong areas and makes her look twice the size the others do. As an apple shaped woman you want to draw attention away from your midsection not towards, the yellow dress does the exact opposite. Dresses such as the one on the right that flow from under the bust are perfect – they still show off your lovely cleavage without drawing attention to your worst areas.
Angelina Jolie
Yes she’s very thin, yes she’s stunning but even she can look better in some clothes than others and in the pic above it can be seen how when she added a cinched in waist with a peplum flare she gave herself some curves that look fabulous. The other photo doesn’t really enhance her figure and makes her look a bit boxy.
