Runway Malta A/W 12 – Catwalk Review Ann Boogaerts

Runway Malta took place on the 29th Sept and featured some international designers including Ann Boogaerts. Earlier in the month I had the chance to Interview her, so I was particularly looking forward to viewing her collection live.
I loved the collection which draws on many different elements for inspiration.
“The luxurious collection is inspired by a sixty-year-old woman who travelled the world and wants to keep her opulent memories by integrating them in her clothes. The collection is produced in a small Belgian atelier. “
The below jacket combines a modern silhouette with fur trimmings and big elaborate buttons for a vintage touch.
The beautiful outfit below feels almost unreal, in her interview she describes this shirt as her favourite piece in this collection and I can see why although I have to add the skirt too – imo the whole outfit is brilliant, elegant, fantastical and unique all come together to create a definite showstopper outfit. Something like this can be worn both to an elegant part or even to a fancy dinner, anytime you want to be noticed 🙂

The outfit below has a fifties feel to it with a dirndl skirt that’s so in trend right now.

Another beautiful pencil skirt with a high collar shirt tucked in that enhances the waist.

Some other pics below:

A very inspiring collection – looking forward to seeing more from this wonderful, creative designer 🙂
