Stylish and Comfortable – what is that you say ???
Sometimes putting together a casual, comfy outfit that still looks chic and stylish is the hardest styling of all. A lot of us are more than ready to sacrifice comfort for style (enter 6 inch heels here) but when going for a walk, picnic, day out in the country being comfortable is a must or your fun will be ruined.
In my experience, high heels are best eliminated especially if going for a walk, after all you don’t want to slow everyone else down. Anything too tight and restrictive should also be crossed off the list …mini skirts and short dresses might result in you having to repeatedly pull down your dress or in you having to keep your skirt from flying upwards and exposing your bum…so these are also crossed out. Also, if you’re going to be out and about then it might be important to keep warm but not too warm.
Check out this look below:
I’ve created an outfit that is ultra stylish and in trend but mega comfortable…..for the lower half of your body there’s a pair of ripped denim shorts worn over leopard print tights with flat military boots; for your upper half there’s a lined lace top that should be loosely tucked into the shorts and a warm military style jacket.
I’ve also added a brown leather bag that could easily be substituted for something smaller and lighter if going for a walk. I’ve also added a cool pair of chic gold statement earrings to add some extra glamour.
The trends in this outfit are military, animal print, lace and ripped denim – not bad for what is essentially a comfortable outfit.
P.S. For warmer climates, the jacket could easily be substituted for a thin trench coat and for rainy cold days, a quilted trench could be used instead.
