I’ve just received my recent purchase of a short white high waisted pleated skirt – it was an impulse buy which I started to doubt immediately after clicking buy – as previously mentioned, I’m pear shaped, therefore pleats should be a big no-no…..the problem is that I absolutely adore them and pleats are one of this season’s hottest trends which means I keep seeing them around and well….I caved.
So when my parcel arrived there was excitement mixed with trepidation ..*drum roll*… tried it on and wow it looked nice, maybe not the most slimming skirt I own but neither the most enlarging, I actually really like the skirt an an now glad I bought it.
So, some analysis why this skirt suited me- first of all it is made of chiffon, meaning it is very lightweight and therefore doesn’t add bulk to my body, secondly the pleats are accordion pleats which are pressed into the material rather than sewn in, this means they add less bulk to my lower half than I was afraid of…..
