Outfit Post : My Bro’s Engagement Party

My brother recently got engaged; yippee; and two weeks ago his fiancée’s parents threw a great party to celebrate the occasion. I deliberated for a while on what to wear – not wanting to be too dressed up nor too casual – as we all know finding that in-between is sometimes really hard.

I settled on a dress by DKNY which I picked up in London a few months back, I absolutely love it and hadn’t yet  had a chance to actually wear. The dress is a blue-grey midi-length with a pleated bust area, a cinched in waist and a huge bow at the back.

I accessorised it with some vintage jewellery, gold shoes from Aldo and a gold bag by Julien McDonald. I also decided to wear my hair in a casual up-do which was done by the fantastic Chris from Michael and Guy.
