Last Weekend I was invited to the Christmas Party of Adrian Mizzi (the producer of Venere and Fashion Week and Fashion Awards). To me an invitation to a fashion related party means an opportunity to have fun and get dressed up in a manner that would normally raise a few eyebrows but is perfect for this kind of event.
All regular readers must know by now that I have an ongoing love affair with velvet so after deliberating for a while and rummaging through my closet, I pulled out this long sleeved red velvet bodycon and declared it perfect. I then added black lace tights for a more baroque, aristocratic effect and a black sequin hair band for a vintage touch. I deliberated on whether or not to wear a black leather studded collar, wondering if perhaps it would be over-the-top but then decided to go for it. I don’t have a back photo of the outfit but the dress actually has a very low scoop back and I wore my hair in a tight bun.
