I’m a Mac Cosmetic’s fan, have been for a while, at one point I was a MAC addict and in one year had accumulated a ton of MAC products and knew all the brush numbers and product names off by heart. My addiction faded after a while and now one might say I just have a heathy interest in their products.
One of my all-time favourite purchases is the honey lust eyeshadow. I find it hard to describe the exact shade of this product but I will say that it’s similar to the shade of honey but less yellow and more golden.
It is best to apply over an eyeshadow base as when applying it seems to be very glitterry and in fact care must be taken to not fill your entire face with the fallout glitter flecks. I’ve read some negative reviews complaining about this and stating that the shadow is not pressed well, however, I got the hang of keeping the fallout to a minimum pretty soon and if you don’t manage this, you can always start with your eye makeup and then clean your face after. Once applied, the shadow settles to a beautiful shiny finish and does not seem tacky at all unlike a lot of other glitter eyeshadows.
I receive most compliments when I wear it alone over my entire eyelid, with just a bit of black eyeliner at the outer corners, however, it also works very nicely mixed with other browns and greens and also as an under eye liner.
This seems to be the shadow I reach for most often, especially when I’m in a hurry, unfortunately I dropped it and broke it earlier this week, so have to get myself a replacement soon !!
