Styling Work : Camouflage Shoot

In a previous post I wrote about how one of the key trends this year is camouflage and how to incorporate it into a look without seeming as though you are wearing a costume. After that post I got inspired and me and the hubby (photographer Kurt Paris) decided to plan a fashion shoot along this theme.

We wanted to use a ‘green’ location so we sought out a private field in the Chadwick Lakes area. Next, we selected the model, Lisa Hamilton and then I started planning the styling. Four looks were chosen and the styling inspiration was a mish-mesh of sequins, animal prints and camouflage prints. My main idea was to use the camouflage pattern not only as a focus but also as a complimentary pattern.


The makeup artist Krista Paris also came up with a cool idea of creating a camouflage design pattern on the eyelids and you can watch a video of her creating this below:
