It is rather strange that up until now I had never blogged about one of my most fun styling experiences ever. In 2012, I worked on the Spring/Summer 2012 campaign of Woolrich John Rich & Bros as an assistant stylist.
“For its Spring/Summer 2012 campaign, Woolrich John Rich & Bros. has chosen to collaborate with the Japanese artist , Masao Yamamoto. Every image is a work of art, printed on photographic paper, with beautiful colours created thanks to special hand development techniques . The end result is a campaign characterised by a rarefied atmosphere, featuring warm, unique colours.“
This campaign was shot over a period of three days in Gozo and it was so much fun. The team was predominantly a mix of Maltese and Italian and there were such a group of talented people, it was an honour to work with them all.
We had some sun, some rain (even during the actual photoshoot), great food and lots of laughter and lots of beautiful clothes; superb quality, lovely soft denim and of course Woolrich’s signature to-die-for trench coats.
Check out the shots actually used for the campaign:
It was also my first time working with kids….I must admit it is rather different dressing a child to an adult…. they kinda don’t listen to you all that much !!

One of the best things about this shoot was the base, a truly wonderful boutique hotel ThirtySeven run by Guiseppe and Piatti Piazzi who were also the people handling the organization of this campaign.
