Beauty Post : PUPA Milano Lipstick Peach Rose

First off I must start with an apology for completely forgetting to review this lipstick, I was meant to do it back in May but it completely slipped my mind. Some days ago I was rummaging through my cupboard in search of the perfect pink lipstick, when voilà this surfaced and refreshed my memory.
So this is the PUPA Milano Lipstick 205 – Peach Rose, part of the beautiful 50’s spring 2013 collection and it was sent to me by Stephanie from medimports .
I’m really in love with the colour and the texture of the lipstick, a really beautiful shade of pink, very vibrant but at the same time not too bright that it starts to border on slutty. It can easily be worn in the morning with just one coat, or in the evening with two or three coats and possibly some gloss. Although having said that, the lipstick itself has a wet look effect so unless you want really glossy lips you can probably skip the gloss.
In terms of longevity, I’d say it’s about the same as most lipsticks, it did not fade or move until I ate and drank but when I did it was gone..luckily it’s a small tube so easy to carry around for touchups in even the smallest clutch.

For me the best thing about this lipstick was the texture, I suffer from really dry lips that tend to flake and some lipsticks tend to dry them out or sort of settle into the dry areas. With this the dryness wasn’t evident at all, my lips looked  really silky smooth and lovely.
Overall I rate this lipstick 8/10 (knocking off two points for it not being longer lasting). Pupa have really impressed me with their 50s collection, I think this makeup brand is going to keep going from strength to strength.
