In exciting news Caroline’s Fashion Styling has been asked to be the official blogger for the Times of Malta PINK Fashion Show (in collaboration with Infinitely Xara) next Wednesday 13th November.
In the lead up to the event, the monthly magazine decided to use this month’s fashion shoot as a pre-accompaniment to the show.
The shoot features a 1940s inspired styling concept and the Veronica Lake peek-a-boo inspired hairstyle. The outfits look absolutely amazing!

“As always
when planning a shoot, a lot of thought has to go into it. For Pink’s 9th
Anniversary issue, Allied Newspapers decided to celebrate in style by
organizing a fashion show. The venue is the most important aspect when
organizing any event as it sets the mood.

We
decided on the Aviation Museum as a fashion event has never been organized
there, although shoots have been done in the past. Whenever I’ve been there, I
always envisioned a fashion show happening there but the right
opportunity never came about; until now.

The
fashion story had to reflect the mood of the fashion show, so we also used the The Aviation Museum as the shoot location. I could not imagine anyone
but photographer Kurt Paris shooting this photoshoot as his mastery over
light is unrivalled. We wanted to capture the 1940’s mood, so besides
the lighting, the styling also had to fit in the theme as well, but with a modern
twist. Hair and make up were inspired by the late movie actress, Veronica Lake
and was left in the capable hands of Shasha and the team of hairstylists from
Screen Hair Products. The beautiful models Amy and Daniela from supernovamodel.com made our job so much
easier as they really managed to understand the mood we were seeking.”

Preparations for the fashion show have already begun. The participating brands are Armani Jeans, Tommy Hilfiger, Max & Co, Monsoon, Coccinelle, M&S, Guess, Sarto with Blumarine (showing their Milan collection which is being flown in especially for the fashion show) and Aldo Shoes.
