Listen up all Maltese lovers of leather bags – there’s a new player in town and it comes in the form of renowned Italian brand Coccinelle. If you’ve never heard of Coccinnelle, then now is the time to get very well acquainted. The brand has been brought to our shores by PCutajar and is situated at the bottom of Tower Road in Sliema.
I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch party last Friday. I was unaware the shop was opening in Malta before I got the invite, is when it arrived in the post I squealed in excitement..my credit card might have had a difference of opinion though.
The party was very well organised and the mostly female guests were all going gaga over the bags – I expected the bags to be much pricier actually, I have been in the store in Italy but either I only looked at the most expensive designs ..or I simply forgot..either way there are plenty of wonderful designs at relatively wallet friendly prices.

The quality of the bags is superb, extremely well made, extremely well thought out designs and leather soft and supple that you can smell a mile away. There are also some lovely wallets, belts, hats and scarves in store.
