It’s officially Winter and I can feel my little fingers turning to little icicles as I type. At this time of year dressing starts to become more of a challenge for me as the ‘I must keep warm‘ cheer keeps repeating itself over and over again in my head. That being said, it’s also the time of year for parties and events and that means you want to look your best.
A lot of people I know stop wearing skirts and shorts in Winter preferring to go for jeans as they feel they are warmer – but that means missing out on the whole boots with skirts and boots with shorts outfits that are soooo cool and so much fun! So first of all go and invest in a few pairs invest of thermal tights and then go back to wearing shorts and skirts.
Layers are the way to dress in these colder months and creating a layer using leather (fake or real) is an excellent idea as leather is the ultimate wind and rain blocker. I’ve put together an outfit using Jane Norman stock that I particularly like – leather shorts (worn over black thermal tights) a fluffy crop top (worn with tummy bared or over a black strap top) and a leather biker jacket, depending how cold you do feel you can add a black/grey coat over everything). I’ve also added a scarf for both style and warmth, add some ankle boots, a cross body bag and you will look really stylish and still be very, very warm. It’s also a super comfy outfit!
