Random Post : A Look at 2013

2013 can best be described as a super exciting whirlwind – most of the time, throughout this last year I think I felt like I was riding along on a bumpy roller-coaster ride with no idea where and when it would end. With a retrospective look at this year I’ve ultimately reached the conclusion that whilst at times it was a tiring year I did actually really enjoy myself and I also feel like I achieved a lot, probably all and more of what I hoped for at the start of the year.

If I had to pick the Top Moments and Achievements (limiting them to my life in fashion for the purpose of this blog post)
Winning the Best Stylist at the Malta Fashion Awards 2013
This definitely comes out tops, nothing can top the sheer joy/satisfaction/ and yea why not ‘pride in myself’ I felt on that night
Working backstage a Malta Fashion Week and Fashion Awards
This was a great experience for many reasons, I learnt a lot about what it means to be a stylist backstage at such large fashion shows, got to meet and assist some great local and foreign designers and worked for the first time with Marisa Grima which was absolutely fantastic, she is one of the nicest, most genuine people I’ve met in this industry and assisting her in this event was the start of many other shoots throughout the year on which we worked together or I assisted her.
Becoming Brand Ambassador for Coccinelle
Spending lots of time with beautiful, luxurious leather bags and accessories – need I say more?
Collaborating with a number of top designers/brands/stores both locally and internationally for the purposes of my blog/andor as a stylist
Amongst others this included Oasis Malta, Tommy Hilfiger Malta, Bling Bling, Fabrayan, Slon Torbalski, Creative Factory 7, Jennyfer Malta, MVintage, LD by Luisa Diacono, Marks and Spencer Malta.
Continuing to Style Style on Sunday Magazine
This was my second year being the stylist for this local magazine and I still love the job
Continuing to Style Il-Klikka television series
Again, still having a whale of a time with the cast and crew
Continuing to be a Stylist for Venere
I love participating in venere, the team is so great!
Styling Hilton Malta Magazine December Issue
This was something I loved doing , both because I really like the magazine but also because I have a lot of ties to the place, amongst others, I got married there and I gym there
Travelling to the Clothes Show Live
This was a great experience which I hope to repeat next year. Of noteworthy mention is the fact that Marisa, Kurt and I got to do a shoot there with models Gaby and Claire (supernovamodel.com) and collaborate with Benefit Uk, Lemonade, Project Welsh.

So cheers to a great 2013 let’s bring on 2014!
