Last Saturday, September 6th at 21.00 at the Ballroom of the Grand Hotel in Riccione the final of the New Model Today International Contest was held. There were 36 girls competing. The winner is Anna Chiara Anselmi di Verona, second-placed is Lucrezia Cameiani from San Benedetto del Tronto, and the third-placed is Malta’s very own Claire Ciantar (supernovamodel.com).

The finalists walked in three stages wearing fashion collections from Emilio Schubert, Neapolitan designer Gianni Molaro and Ferragiù from Malta.
This was actually Ferragiu’s world premiere, with clothes designed and made by fashion designer Juliana Scerri Ferrante, made entirely by hand using Maltese lace and Italian silks. At this event I was actually working as a stylist backstage for Ferragiu, helping dress the girls and everything else needed.
