Superheroes have alter egos and an alter ego requires an outfit change. The first outfit is always polished, groomed and sleek, designed to both blend and impress.
But when fighting crime, Superman and Batman both wear capes, my cape is a sleeveless anorak – I’m definitely the winner in the power stakes here.
Superheroes have secret powers, my power is in my handbag. I could elaborate but it’s a secret.
In my groomed alter ego, I wear a matching suit from MEXX, a current hot fashion potato (yes matching is back), the shirt style is called a pussy-bow shirt (no joke) and is another hot potato – a large bow adds a touch of vintage chic glamour and I’m loving burgundy/ wine / oxblood which seems to be the only pop of colour available this season. This outfit is great for a dinner date that counts / an exhibition launch / theatre night.
The superhero outfit, also from MEXX is great for fighting crime, exercising all your spending powers and just general chilling, switch the pair of jeans to a skirt for another alter feminine ego.
