I’m quite a product junkie, especially when to comes to hair products – I have never met a product I didn’t want to try, especially styling ones. LABELM have so many styling products that I get a bit confused and flustered between them all. So the LABELM guys in Malta asked to go in for a styling half and half session – basically half my curls would be styled one way and the other half, another way.
If you’re unfamiliar with the LABELM brand, it’s basically the hair product brainchild from Toni&Guy and their forte is styling products. Photo above was taken backstage at a London Fashion Week Show by Kurt Paris.
Step1
Wash Hair and Towel dried (gently so as not to disturb the natural curl pattern)
- Right Side
Base Product – Leave in Conditioner
Second Product – Curl spray was sprayed liberally all over hair and combed through
- Left Side
Base Product – Souffle
Step 2
Diffuser dryer was used on both sections on a low speed, with my head hanging upside down. The diffuser dryer was only used to dry the hair to about 80%.

Step 3
For a more voluminous effect and more lift from the roots, Sea Salt Spray was sprayed all over my hear and diffuser was used again.
As you can see, some of the curl definition was lost on both sides but there is now a lot more lift and volume, especially at the roots.
The diffuser attachment above, is quite amazing, it has a rubber, flexible head so it can fit over any dryer and the air volume is adjustable so you can make the curls big and bouncy or dainty .
Verdict
Right side is the Winner
Whilst I love volume, I tend to prefer a more defined curl so I thinking I was happiest with the right side after Step 1 & 2 (using the leaving conditioner and curl spray). The voluminous look that the sea salt spray gave is quite an interesting look though so I definitely want to try it again soon. I think I just wouldn’t use it as an everyday look.
The pic below was taken on the same night a few hours later and as you can see there’s still loads of volume left.
