Last night at the beautiful Camilleri Paris Mode store in Rabat, a selection of dresses from the 2016 Tony Ward Collection Abstract Roses were showcased. Tony Ward is a Lebanese / Italian fashion designer, he spent seven years working and learning at large French fashion houses – Lanvin, Chloe and Dior – before starting his own label.
There’s something about exquisite bridal dresses that can make both prospective and past brides weak at the knees, these gowns are no exception. They are majestic and sophisticated, inspired by architectural elements with a sense of sculptural art about them. The female body is highlighted in all the right places with the end result being a wonderfully well-proportioned silhouette. One of the dresses featured a plunging midriff that fit the model’s body perfectly, generating a sense of height and length. Floral embellishments and rich embroidery feature throughout the pieces, lending the dresses that unique, luxurious, romantic feeling.
My favourite dress had to be this one below, the craftsmanship of the gown is impeccable, the model, Bojana, also described it as being wonderfully light and comfortable to wear
Jimmy Choo shoes from Sarto for the event
