As I already mentioned, I attended the Elisabetta Franch show in Milan last Saturday. She is one of my favourite Italian designers – in all her pieces, the feminine silhouette is wonderfully proportioned, there’s no hiding or diminishing of curves here, just enhancing.
The new collection for SS16 builds off the very successful current Autumn/Winter Collection that is currently stocked in Malta at Rebelli you can read more about it in this shopping post.
There’s still that beautiful mix of sensuality and elegance, the very interesting use of laces continues both on tight fitting pieces and on structured, billowing skirts and dresses. The colour palette is a mix of blacks, blues, light nudes and whites and some beautiful summer patterns created from different textures fabrics, there are also just a couple of right red pieces. Some very interesting details can be found on different pieces such as feathers, lots of fringing, mesh inserts – they really command your attention. The accessories are also great, especially the knee-high gladiator sandals. Lots of pieces have already been added to my wish list for next summer.
