One of the things that I enjoy most whilst travelling is discovering boutiques selling local designers, most often they’re not worldwide renowned designers but there’s always a certain quality and finesse. In cities like Florence and Venice, there are whole streets dedicated to artisans and their galleries. I’ve always thought that Valletta with it’s historic background and cultural vibe would be the perfect place to house our designers. Finally, Charles and Ron have dome it and opened up a flagship store in the Capital City and it’s absolutely wonderful.
The store is modern and has a lovely well-lit layout that you can enjoy browsing through, it doesn’t feel cramped and the merchandise is clearly laid out and accessible. The Autumn/Winter collection presently on sale I had already met and loved, it has all my favourite colours…purple/maroon/black…..and a ganutell pattern repeated throughout……so obviously I was always going to love it.
Very interesting is their new denim range which means a new pair of jeans will very soon be finding a new home in my wardrobe…and to the hubby who might be reading this – no I don’t have enough jeans.
The shop is next to Pjazza San Gorg, 58D Republic Street, Valletta, on the corner of Archbishop Street so next time you’re in Valletta, make sure you stop by and give it a twirl.
