Yup !! you guessed it – the Eiffel Tower is my January PANDORA charm. The Eiffel tower is truly a glorious, iconic symbol, it stands as a symbol for this wonderful city and that is such a wonderful mix of old and modern all that it has to offer. More importantly, it has a large significance in my life – there’s the small matter of my surname which, I think you all know, is Paris. It was originally the hubby’s surname and I ‘stole it’ as he likes to say, when I married him.
Choosing to give up my original family name and changing it to Paris was quite a momentous decision for me. When the time came to decide, I realised that it almost felt like I was giving up a part of my identity. However, I came to the conclusion that my new family should have the same family name and after all, it is rather a nice surname isn’t it?
So, my year-long story in charms with Pandora continues and this month I thought that seeing as this was the second January within three years that I spent some time celebrating my birthday in Paris, my family name is Paris and I love everything about this glorious city – an Eiffel tower it needed to be. These photos were shot in Paris by the way – how’s that for continuity? Although my hands did almost freeze and fall off without gloves on.
I also collected another ‘treat’ from Pandora this month – stackable rings!! Aren’t they gorgeous? I probably should have waited till February – those hearts are right on Valentine’s Day theme but it was a *slight* impulsive acquisition.
As a reminder, Pandora is available at the Pandora outlets in Sliema and Valletta and Hebe, recently launched is the Pandora Club which lets you create a wishlist, design your own jewellery and gain access to special offers.
