In case, you haven’t read the first posts or just plain forgotten – I am collaborating with Pandora to tell my story in charms. For one whole year, I am selecting one charm each month which will represent something about me and my life throughout that month. This month, besides the charm, I’ve made one major change to the bracelets – it has become two bracelets, I’m really into the idea of layering jewellery at the moment and I really love the idea of a charm bracelet arm party.
March is a strange month – somehow I feel it that it is an in-between, rather hectic month. First of all, there are the fashion weeks which start in February and spill over into March. Putting aside the fact that those trips are tiring as hell and take so much out of me, they also absorb my entire fashion focus. Throughout this period, my brain is completely and utterly focused on Winter Fashion. However, the thing is, in Malta, Spring and well practically Summer weather always creeps up suddenly in mid-March. It is also when the Spring fashion season starts and with that arrive editorials for magazines and client requests so both as a stylist and in terms of dressing myself, I need to suddenly shift focus back into Spring and lighter clothes. This March there was also Easter which is only a day in itself but a family feast which involves celebrations and finding time to meet and enjoy everyone. The best thing about this month is the change in hour, which I always feel makes the day feel longer and gives me more energy. I’m definitely not complaining about the warmer weather either…although I do miss my coats.
With all these changes afloat, when it came to choosing my charm for the month, I was a bit confused – what is March for me, what is my life about ? When I spotted these sunglasses, I thought they were perfect, a new season, warmer weather, brighter days…definitely more sunglasses wearings on the horizon.
