Rome is really one of my favourite cities, well at least from the cities I have visited – there are a few left on the bucket list. This was not my first trip to Rome, it actually felt like I was visiting Gozo, I know it so well. It never fails me and never bores me – there’s always a new corner to discover and old favourites to visit. It really, really is a wonderful city. I was in Rome last weekend spending some quality time with my Mother, was a wonderful trip with lots of food, shopping and loads of walks.
Some of my highlights on this trip were
- Dinner at Armando al Pantheon – that Amatriciana and chocolate mousse are as tantalising as ever
- Strolling around the streets of Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fuori – does this really ever get old ?
- Walking through Via Giulia – this street is simply too pretty
- Gelato at San Crispino and Fagoramo – pistachio and dark chocolate goodness
- The Monti neighbourhood
- The shops at the Monti Neighbour – many new and upcoming designers
- The Mercato Monti
- The restaurants at Monti
- Building my own Magnum – too much fun
- Pizza slices at Roscioli – so cheap, so perfect
- Cacio e Pepe – always
