I discovered Pandora and charm bracelets in general a bit late in life – most people start collecting them from their teen years. So in late 2015 and all of 2016, I’ve been lucky enough to have the chance to really discover the Pandora brand and I’m hooked. I’ve also joined the Pandora club which lets you design your own jewellery and create a wishlist. I’m talking about all of this because for this month my charm story is somewhat about the brand – I chose the limited edition collectible Pandora Club 2016 charm – a beautiful sterling silver heart made up of small interconnecting hearts with a tiny diamond in the middle and a 2016 engraving.
However, part of the reason for choosing it was that I also liked the fact that the charm is a heart. This last month, the hubby went away for over 3 weeks and whilst I always expected to miss him, it made me realise how much I genuinely crave his company. He was in a different timezone so conversation was sporadic and there were so many things I wanted to discuss with him, talk to him about, share with him and I just couldn’t. I’m not used to that – we tend to do a lot of our travelling together, we rarely go for long periods apart. So for me, this heart, this month, captures this memory of how much I hated being apart from him. The idea being that next time we get into that fight over whose fault it is that we’re late – I’ll look at this charm and calm down. I’ll keep you posted.
