Shopping : Saving Time Online with lyst

I recently discovered an online shopping platform tool called lyst. This tool transforms the way you online shop for the better. I love online shopping but there’s no debating the fact that not only is it a financial drainer, it’s also potentially the biggest time waster around. I’m sure many of you can picture this scenario – log on to your favourite site and search for a black blazer, immediately be presented with many different options but wait there are also black puffy jackets there and actually they’re really quite nice, I hadn’t thought of them, oh and look those jeans are nice. Maybe I should get them all but actually, I haven’t seen what the other site has, I should check, and maybe I should check the sale section too. And repeat.

So the founders of lyst decided to create a platform that would make shopping online a more productive experience. This tool has a learning mechanism and learns more and more about you and your likes and dislikes the more you use it. It is not an online store in itself, it is a platform that links to thousands of online stores and designers. It also allows you to flag an item, even items that are currently out of stock and will notify you if it becomes available or the price changes. Individual sites perform this functionality but that would mean receiving emails and notifications and registering to all these sites individually. lyst allows you to use one platform and have access to all these online stores. They also produce their own edits based on current trends and events like fashion week.

I decided to create my own edit from lyst with my favourite Fall/ Winter Jackets.
