Looking ‘PHOTOSHOPPED’ at MAC

The other week, I popped by MAC for a makeup session. I had a specific aim – to achieve a complete full coverage look, I basically told her – I wasn’t to look photoshopped. Kim took up the task eagerly although it goes against her preference, her preference and mine too really, is for the face to look natural, for the skin to show through the foundation. However, this one called for a heavier foundation, more buffing and careful application.
Besides the foundation which I walked away with, she also introduced me to probably my favourite ever lipstick from the amazing nutcracker Holiday collection kits. I really loved the look, I felt photoshopped but not at all caked, my skin did still look like skin, there wasn’t that plastic feeling at all. It felt like a more perfect me.

She was also kind enough to list down every single product she used which will come in handy for future shopping trips.
Here’s the list
Cleanse off oil tranquil mixed with lightful C softening lotion (to cleanse the face)

Pro eye make-up remover (purple bottle)

Mineralize charged water spray, drenched on the skin to hydrate and freshen
Studio fix fluid nc 20 mixed with Face and Body C2 (foundation mix, for full coverage but still leaves the skin looking like skin)

Prep and prime highlighting and correcting pen in bright forecast (under eyes and high planes of the face)

Pro long wear concealer nc 20 (under eyes and sides of nose)

Studio fix powder plus foundation in nc 30 (to set everything for the ultimate finish and cover)

Bronzer – matte bronze to warm and sculpt the face

Nutcracker sweet magic dust powder in YUM YUM YUM swept light over the cheeks
Prep + prime lip base (to smooth the surface and create a perfect base for lipstick to adhere to as well as preventing “bleeding” and prolonging the wear)
