It’s time to announce a new series that I’m really excited about – my life in charms. For one whole year, I will be collaborating with Pandora and selecting one charm each month which will represent something about me and my life that month.
I’ve never had a customisable charm bracelet before, I’ve often been tempted to start one off because I’ve always loved the idea of charms but I was always afraid that it would be something I’d start and discard a few months later. Now that I have one, I can see how wrong I was, I love wearing it and the fact that it’s made of 925 silver means I never really need to take it off.
October – The Start
This month is the first month in my year-long Pandora charm journey. Since it’s the first time, I got a couple of extras – two charms as one might have felt a bit lonesome otherwise, a couple of spacers, clasps and a safety chain.
The Charms

Was the rationale behind my choice of charms – a stiletto and a bicycle.
I’m already a stiletto-wearing woman but a skilled cyclist I unfortunately am not – I own a bike, but I lack the ability and skill to ride it. I bought a lovely, brand new bike last May with the intention and promise of learning. However, the weather quickly turned ‘boiling’ which is fine for me but not for the hubby placed in the teacher role. The weather has cooled down now so there are to be no more excuses and I must find the time to continue this goal. Adding this charm to my bracelet is a constant reminder of this challenge and constant motivation.
