Fall/Winter – 2011/2012: ….Skint for my Leather….

Whatever you may think of leather, along with fur it is definitely all around us this season, both faux and real and in a wide variety of prices. Invest in a soft leather jacket and wear it all winter or go for a bit of bondage style for an all leather ensemble – there’s leather everything this season, from skirts to leggings, to trousers to skirts to the always popular jackets, bags and shoes. Also, look for items with leather trimmings rather than completely made of leather, adds a twist. Remember, one of this season’s key looks is the masculine one, so if you’re looking to emulate that, black leather is a good place to begin.

When buying leather clothes, remember that leather does loosen up with time so take care not to get something in a size that is already slightly large, also do remember that leather is a skin and therefore needs lots of TLC. Ideally, real leather items should be waterproofed and leather cream should be applied after a lot of use.
