For all my lovely Maltese readers you may or may not be already acquainted with the new kid on the block in Sliema – Trop Mode Shop. Located just in front of the Palace Hotel, the shop stocks some truly wonderful designer pieces at heavily discounted prices. Amongst others, there’s a lot of Marc Jacobs’ clothes and accessories to be found, quite a few Chloe and Nina Ricci pieces some Fendi and quite a large selection by the wonderful French designer Lou de Beauregard.
I collaborated with this shop for a recent fashion photoshoot with my husband photographer Kurt Paris. Two models were selected: Gaby Curmi and Becky Montanaro whilst Krista Paris was the makeup artist.
The theme for this shoot was FASHION, FASHION, FASHION.
My wish was for the clothes to grab center stage and truly standout. Checkout the results below:
Gaby in a truly original Fendi dress : in orange the colour of 2012, this dress is truly a ‘sit up and take notice dress’, defintely not for wallflowers.
In a lovely lightweight Nina Ricci dress.
Becky in a very sparkly dress by French designer Diabless. This dress has a very young and contemporary feel to it, Great for a night out !!
Pretty in Pink – Marc Jacobs tweed with a D&G camisole – such a striking combination of colours, especially against a dark skintone. Some people might prefer to wear this suit as separates rather than
together, this jacket would also work very nicely on jeans.
Such a cool jumpsuit – Lou de Beauregard
Becky in a leather tuxedo jacket by Lou de Beauregard and silver sequinned trousers by Fendi with a stunning Chloe necklace. I love the combination of the harshness of leather with the airy shimmer of these trousers.
So get yourselves down there to grab a stunning dress or two or simply a pair of Balmain shoes.
