You may have noticed the sudden rise in patterned clothing this year, that or you might have been living on the moon – one of the most popular patterns around is the avian one, birds are used heavily this season, generally a bird pattern will consist of one kind of bird but different clothes use different shaped and coloured birds for their patterns; there doesn’t not seem to be a ‘preferred’ bird.
From the catwalk we get inspiration from Carolina Herrera and Marc Jacobs Spring Summer Shows.
Whilst this trend may seem a bit strange to some, I find it quite fresh and exciting, floral patterns and tribal patterns are always popular to some extent every summer but this is something brand new. The bad thing this is that the pattern is eye catching so it might be difficult to re-wear a piece multiple times, also the trend might not be around next year, making your clothes seem outdated. However, I think it is definitely worth buying yourself a few bird items this summer and working the trend, maybe for those with limited spending power best to stick to high street cheaper options….

Strangely enough, all these items are the same price – I’d go for the dress, it’s really pretty and can easily be dressed down or up.
