Some highlights from the Gucci Autumn/Winter 2013 catwalk show:
As usual, this show did not disappoint, as a heavily pregnant Frida Giannini continued to take the brand from strength to strength.
There were elements of satin, already seen in other designers’ collections, fur, beautiful bags and shoes ofc and interestingly enough – coloured feathers. Although, there were shades of teal, mustard and even pink, in general the hues were of a sombre nature – no neon to be found !! The classic heritage patterns made an appearance as did boxy shoulders and the classic pencil skirt. In general, the underlying theme of the woman’s collection was one of power, of a strong business-minded, focused woman. This was mostly evident in the day wear collection, the evening wear had a bit more play to it, with netting, luxe materials and feathers all incorporated into beautiful creations.
