This year has seen the revival of many 80s and 90s trends, with denim and sneakers and now even scrunchies all making comebacks…..one trend that has seen a recent revival that I haven’t yet talked about, is LEGWARMERS.
Legwarmers were originally used exclusively by ballerinas and dancers as a way of keeping their ankles warm and avoiding injury. They became widely popular and were adopted by the general public in the 80s, when Jane Fonda wore them in an exercise video. Madonna and other celebrities soon followed suit and soon legwarmers were everywhere, available in many different shades and patterns.
They’re now popping up on the catwalk again and can be found in lots of different shops. Victoria Beckham was even photographed wearing a leather pair!!
