The fifth day of the Malta fashion week brought us the Fersani show, a display of elegant, occasion wear. This show took place in the Maria Rosa vineyard estate, a beautiful location, nestled among acres of vines.
Mary Grace Pisani, the designer of Fersani launched this show as a comeback show, as she had been on hiatus for a while. The first thing that came to mind when looking at these designs, is imagination – there was a very interesting mix of different concepts, often in one outfit. The show did not really present a collection as such, as generally each piece was not related to another. Rather I feel as though the designer wanted to give us an insight into the different ideas, skills and dreams running through her brain.
There were elements of lace, sheer materials, sequins, crochet and even fish swimming in water !! This piece below was one of my favourites, made with lovely black sheer material and an intricate lace design – this made for a lovely combination.
I loved the makeup done by Elaine Galea and Natasha Polidano which differed slightly from model to model and looked lovely across each of them, but I was truly awed by the wonderful hair done by Chris of Toni and Guy….check out this amazing creation below.
I was happy to meet both Mary Grace herself and also one of her seamstresses Doris Mercieca; they must have worked relentlessly to get all the pieces ready in time.

I was definitely really pleased to meet the Maltese First Lady ,Michelle Muscat, who was dressed in a beautiful outfit, designed and tailored by the designer herself (a much less elaborate design than those displayed in the show, which demonstrates the designer’s versatility). On a side note, I loved how it was paired with lovely Spanish-designed, matching green accessories.
The night ended with a small reception at the venue, lovely night once again, well done to all the team involved !!
