Although Malta Fashion Week tired me out, it also gave me a lot of energy and what better way to invest it than in more and more styling work – which means more and more photoshoots !! And to continue to support the efforts of Malta Fashion Week, it is only fitting that I collaborate with our brilliant local designers.
Last Wednesday, I styled a shoot using Ritienne Zammit‘s designs (she is the Winner of this year’s Best New Designer Award at the Malta Fashion Awards) and her designs are so amazingly awesome. As you recall I interviewed her prior to the show and you can read that here and also read my review about the show here.
For this shoot we chose to create a story titled Queen on the Streets and what this means is:
“There is a Queen who has given up her throne and is now living in the ghetto and although her internal power is still there, she is very fragile and increasingly desperate, so she clings to her one and only protector – her archangel.”
Photography – Kurt Paris
Models – Lisa and Michela @ Supernova Model
Clothes & Accessories Designer – Ritienne Zammit
Makeup – Krista Paris
Hairstylist – Chris @ Michael & Guy
Stylist – Caroline Paris
A huge thumbs up to all the team involved in this shoot – I’m over the moon with the results !!
Check out the photos below
As
you can see, Krista the makeup artist contrasted the models’ makeup perfectly.
Lisa, the Queen was made to look more fragile with a nude look but interesting
eyes, whilst Michela who is still strong has
a more dramatic lip colour.

Michela was also given a sword to symbolize her fighting spirit. |
Even the hairstyles done by Chris, continue to complement the
story with Lisa’s being prettier, more suited to a
queen whilst Michela’s gives us an impression of strength and fiery
determination.

Ritienne is a truly wonderful designer, I am absolutely in love with her imagination in fusing baroque and punk so perfectly and I love her talent for designs using plastic. I enjoyed being the stylist for this shoot and I look forward to many great things from her !!!
Hope you like !!
