Ladies, today I have a mega treat for you ..one of my favourite bloggers Boffism..has agreed to guest write for us!!
I love her blog because each post always seem to have something original to say, even if it is about a topic that has been rehashed many times over. Her underlying character always seems to shine through her words ..and that’s the most important thing on a blog isn’t it ? That’s what makes us revisit our fave blogs every day.
Read what Boffism has to say about how she wears OVERSIZED CLOTHING
I’d like to
think that I’m quite adventurous with prints and patterns, but I clearly have
way to go! I honestly think my caution with print stems from a general
preference to play with silhouettes and proportions as opposed to patterns. I
find the ‘shape’ of a garment much more interesting to style.

If you follow my
blog, you would have realized I use the word ‘oversized’ nearly every other
sentence. Why? I love adding that garment that looks slightly too big (yet not
obnoxiously, absurdly gigantic!) and adapting the rest of the outfit’s
silhouettes to counteract its perceived slouchiness.

For this entry,
I styled three particular oversized garments I tend to wear very often. The
first combination features one of my holy grail garments: the famous and
ever-so-versatile oversized white shirt. The key to getting this right is to
pair it with a skinnier, less baggy garment like a pair of skinny jeans, a
pencil skirt or a pair of tailored shorts. You can also tuck in your shirt into
your lower garment for a sharper distinction between the bagginess of the shirt
and the less slouchy feel of the lower option.

I am just as
obsessed with oversized jackets as much as I am with boyfriend tshirts. In both
outfits including these items, I made sure to counteract the more laid-back
nature of the oversized item of clothing with more tailored, put-together
additions. Never underestimate how important a perfectly tailored pair of
chinos or a classic satchel can be to step up your complete look.
