Yesterday at Camilleri Paris Mode the newly-arrived to Malta, Vera Wang bridal gowns were unveiled. Quite a large crowd gathered at the beautiful showroom in Rabat; both prospective and past brides and even some males; all of us eager to see these highly anticipated gowns.
There’s something about a wedding dress that brings out the romantic in all of us, for a lot of women the image of a bride remains the Barbie-like princess dress. Vera Wang is one of the queens of princess bridal gowns with lots of layers of gathered tulle being a prominent feature across many of her designs, she is also highly renown for her striking and innovative designs.
A few dresses were exhibited on mannequins for our viewing pleasure and I decided to snap some picks before the modelled showcase actually began.

My favourite dress of the night, stunning hand gathered organza skirt combined with layers of tulle with a stunning wrapped sequinned waistband. |

The sequin detail is so intricate and pretty |
The showcase began sometime after we had arrived. Five dresses were presented using five models (
first two from supernovalmodel.com and others from SO management). The models walked slowly down the stairs from the top level of the store and across the corridor showcasing one beautiful gown after another.

A beautiful gown with wrapped detail and sequin shimmer, the bodice has an interesting and flattering design and love the soft ruffles at the bottom |

The fit of this mermaid dress is exquisite, it hugs every curve on model Madeline’s body perfectly. The quality of the lace accents is superb and I like the way it opens up into a “flange” skirt at the bottom. |

Romantic and pretty but with a touch of sophistication – I like the combination of a lace bodice and lightweight material probably organza. |

Highly unique! A classic with perfect tailoring, exquisite lace overlay at the neckline and bodice and loving the oh-so-stylish asymmetrical ruffle. |
|
Another perfectly pretty dress – love the bow! |
