Events Post : Bridal Fashion at Ivory & Co.

October is bridal month which means the arrival of the new collections of Bridal gowns into the bridal shops so if you’re a bride-to-be, this is the perfect time to start looking for that perfect gown.
The Store’s Display Window
Last night Ivory & Co, one of Malta’s finest bridal shops, displayed their newly arrived gowns (2014/2015 collection) in a lovely fashion show set right outside their store in Attard. Unfortunately, the weather conditions were less than ideal and since walking in a bridal gown is generally never the easiest thing, the models from models.com.mt led by Carina Camilleri had a tougher job than norm walking through the wind. However, they prevailed and the show was most definitely a success; the models were accessorized with jewellery from Classic Jewellers, brilliant makeup by Justin Brincat (loved the dark lips) and lovely hair styles by Alexander. The show was also presented by Peter Carbonaro and accompanied by live musicians including the brilliant violinist Simon Vella.
Check out some photos below:

There were some really stunning dresses on display, very high quality, beautiful workmanship and beautiful detailing and intricate beading and designs. There was quite a large variety of styles, from princess style dresses, to mermaid gowns, to full-on lace wonderful sophistication, there’s definitely something to suit everyone’s tastes and figures.
Something about a lace bridal gown just screams sophistication and elegance.
This cinched-in waist is so flattering!
The intricate detailing on this dress is most impressive.

After the show, guests were invited into the store for a reception and a visit into the bridal room where we got up close and personal with the gowns..
Beautiful beautiful lace workmanship – bridal couture at its best.
I’m such a sucker for bridal gowns, princess styles in particular, they still remind me of fairies and princesses and castles and all those things I dreamt of as a child…I’m already married so I already had my chance to wear one of these beauties but well …quite honestly, I don’t think that’s fair…..I WANT MORE.
