Outfit Post : Have You Hit a Curb ? Collaboration with Mvintage

My usual morning routing consists of a tumble out of bed followed by a gym session – today’s was lightly different. This morning I met up with the Mvintage Team for a collaborative outfit photo session shot by the talented Tamara Webb.
I had interviewed Krystle Penza (the founder of Mvintage) last year and since then I have gained a lot of pleasure watching her business grow into a tremendous success, they have even opened jewellery box kiosk at The Point and at Duke’s in Gozo now. With amazing packaging, high quality items, lovely designs and always a glowing smile, this company can only continue to grow.

For this outfit, I decided to let the jewellery do the talking and go for simple but stylish staples, a loose white tee, a new denim blazer by Salsa I recently acquired in a clearance sale that I am v smug about and a pair of coloured skinny jeans.

The jewellery on the other hand can definitely not be called simple nor understated – check out the chic beauty of this multi strand curb chain necklace especially when paired with this more delicate beaded necklace. I love the curb chain bracelet and rings too! Curb designed jewellery is really the hottest thing at the moment, it was a popular trend last Winter too but it is still very in this year too, just make sure to buy good quality ones as the cheap ones are easily tarnished and can look a bit tacky.

Layering different  necklaces is a somewhat new concept to some people. I actually really love the idea of layering different necklaces together, it makes me feel as though I am wearing something a bit more unique, a bit more personal, and the great thing is that you can create a different necklace each time. This curb chain necklace is a really great base piece for layering actually, the great thing is it looks pretty fabulous worn by itself, but if you want to change things up a bit and layer, it’s one of those pieces that can be combined with a lot of different necklace designs, it works well with many different styles, e.g another curb of a different shape, something more delicate like I did, something colourful…the list goes on…
