News Flash : Diversity in Trend - 4th November

Partners , a non-profit NGO that provides support
services to children, youth and adults with a disability and/or learning
difficulty have come up with a wonderful idea – organising a fashion
show that can help give a sense of empowerment to their members.

Diversity: In
Trend is the name of this unique fashion show. It’s aim is to
celebrate inclusion, individuality and solidarity.

‘In an age where high fashion names and branding are
central to our choices, we believe that labelling should be exclusive
to merchandise and not persons. The inspiration behind the fashion show
was to give our members and others the opportunity to shine…and to promote
the beauty of diversity and an inclusive society.’

The show will see the collaboration of top fashion houses,
Monsoon, Wee Ones, Marks and Spencers, Punto Roma, Aldo and LD. Two thirds of
the models will be made up of Equal Partners‘ unique and amazing members, while the
other third will be made up of the models from Modelle
International, guided by Sue Rossi.

The event will be hosted by Marisa Baldacchino and Jane Doe will be welcoming the guests, whilst Carlo
Gerada will be handling the music. Following the runway show, attendees will be invited to finish
off the night by enjoying refreshments at the
Xara Lodge.
